Also we've been privileged to taste Dave’s Artisan Teas and experience the Tea making process. Beautiful surrounding with excellent misty weather. The Breakfast was exceptional. Sri Lankan favourite string hoppers and the Freshest fruits with Dave's homemade Marmalade and Jams. The best Curd I've ever had. Oh I love the coffee Dave offered!! Super clean rooms and awesome library room with lots of splendid books. Oh we miss Charley so badly.. adorable companion.. :) I would give my highest recommendation and I will definitely visit again! thank you David and the awesome team!

Situé à Matale, le Palapathwela Ross Estate Junction , The Inn at Matale" propose un hébergement confortable pour les voyageurs locaux et étrangers. Dilini is an amazing host, she recommended us nice spots in Knuckles Forrest Reserve. I would definitely recommend to stay in Matale for more than 1 night and visit Knuckles as much as possible, the nature is really beautiful (although good to have a driver or a car to visit all the spots). Also, the room was very clean with all the needed facilities. Special thank you to Dilini for making a delicious cappuccino during the breakfast!

Sarath and his family are the most welcoming and amiable hosts we had on our journey in Sri Lanka. The lodging is on top of a hill and inside a plantation so you are all surrounded by beautiful nature. As part of the plantation Sarath and his family are growing their own coffee and spices from which Sarath's wife cooked a most delicious breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Retreat very much and will never forget the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We can very much recommend a stay here.

Le Strathisla Guest House bénéficie d'une piscine extérieure, d'un barbecue et d'une vue magnifique sur la nature. Vue a couper le souffle, un accueil aux petits soins, nourriture excellente. C est un petit havre de paix. Ballade autour de l hôtel très agréable.

Offrant une vue sur le jardin, l'Irene's Home est un hébergement situé à Matale, à 28 km de Sri Dalada Maligawa et du musée de Kandy. We have booked this place for our first night in Sri Lanka. The owner met us on arrival. As it was everything new to us, we had a good few questions and owner couldn't be more than helpful. He advised us on the places we can visit, where to exchange money etc. Communications been very clear. The house is located within working distance to the very busy town, but in the very quiet area, so we had a very good sleep 😁 If you are looking to visit Matale and looking to stay near by highly recommend to stay at this property 👍 This was a first time we saw the monkeys 🤣🤣

I booked the hotel for them and we traveled by car. So there was enough space for vehicles. You will get many facilities during your stay. Staff is 100% polite. Kitchen and equipment provided even they have a full board menu. Room was clean and equipped with everything we wanted. Night ambiance is awesome and the best of the best is the amazing pool. We stayed at the pool until 11 PM night since we couldn't leave the pool that was cool. Pool lights , clean water and the pool is covered from the garden fence so privacy around pool was enough for the girls. The person who catered us was very polite and very supportive. Even provided a mobile phone to contact room service.

It was one of the most amazing stays we had. We were well taken care of and the food was out of this world. They make all the food in house and it’s super delicious. Edward, the manager speaks really good English and will accompany you on giving tips around what can be done in the area. The hotel is placed in a calm estate so you hear birds and insects and a lot of nature. Overall it was a superb stay and we wish we could stay there for a bit longer.
