As a solo female traveler, staying here I felt so safe and at home. The owner and his wife are so utterly sweet and hardworking. The owner has a TukTuk and for a very fair price, he picked me up/dropped me off at the train station. On top of this, he offered different excursion options on his TukTuk for tea plantations, hikes, waterfalls, etc. The owner honestly went above and beyond, not only was he a wonderful host, but also a great driver and tour guide. What really touched my heart was when he took me to the Horton Plains National Park and ended up doing the WHOLE hike with me because he did not want me to do it alone and wanted to make sure I was safe. Their home is a very cute 100+-year-old house, with two rooms. The room was spotlessly clean and had comfy beds with warm blankets for the chilly nights. The price includes breakfast and if you have an early excursion/train time they pack you a full breakfast as well! They also offer lunch and dinner, which the wife cooks. It was honestly the best food I had on my trip to Sri Lanka especially the chicken curry and dhal curry.

We chose Ansi Villa for its proximity to Nanu Oya station and it exceeded our expectations in service and quality. The rooms are clean and the beds are so comfortable. Above all the family are kind and hospitable. They had messaged me about train station pick up but due to bad connection I hadn't got the message. The gentleman of the guesthouse came looking for us in his van anyway, and thankfully found us. When we arrived we were greeted with welcome tea and cake. Even their little boy is so hospitable and sweet. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. I highly recommend Ansi Villa and will certainly stay again if I am back in Nanu Oya.

The owners are amazing people , the free breakfast spread is generous, fresh and delicious. The dinner cooked by host’s sister is probably the best Sri Lankan food we had. Room is immaculately clean and smelling fresh always. We booked the room without attached washroom but that was not a concern at all.

Clearly they have a passion for making people feel welcome, whether it’s a personal welcome, excellent trip advice, taxi and laundry service, coffee, tea and treats whenever you might want it; and all that complementary. So, if you’re in the neighborhood, check out this place!

This is a great place to stay when visiting Adam's Peak. The owners are fantastic people, and they really tried to help us out while we were there. The room was in a good location, easily walkable to the peak but quiet. The restaurant served great, hearty, well-priced meals. Our room was spacious and clean, and we had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Ruwan even helped us line up transportation to Nuwara Eliya afterwards.

Kind hosts, delicious breakfast, and reliable WiFi. Beds were comfortable and property was clean. There is a shared lounge and a second room within the home, so you do need to be a bit mindful of others. We enjoyed the company personally from the other guests that were there at the same time.

The hosts are great and helpful. They found as a great driver for the days we spent here, so we could easily see everything we wanted. The room is big, comfortable and clean and there is hot water (important in these cold areas). There is also a common area you share with one more room, so you basically have almost a house for yourself. The breakfast is really tasty as well! We would definitely love to come back!
