My evening at misty mountain guest house with Clive and Chyshanthie has been my best evening in Sri Lanka, and I have stayed at many wonderful places. I am a young female from Australia travelling alone on my motorbike. Clive and Chryshanthie cared for me like family, cooked the most delicious Sri Lankan dinner I have had, shared stories of Sri Lanka, life, travel and nature with me. I learnt so much from them and it gave so much meaning to my travel. They are a beautiful couple with so much heart and a lovely home. I cannot recommend this guest house enough - I did not want to leave, it felt like home. The area generally is incredibly beautiful, 5 minutes to tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka and several others, even the main road to the east of the guest house is breathtaking and worth a drive. The room is immaculately clean, comfortable and homely. It was such a privilege to stay here ♥️

We ended up paying a bit extra to upgrade our room. Large comfortable bed and pillows. Good spacious bathroom and shower with hot water. Use of a sitting area adjacent the room. We had a great Sri Lankan dinner with lots of different dishes as well. Good breakfast though spicy.

The view was astonishing and the room was spacious, modern and very clean. Saman has been very caring and helpful : he arranged transportation multiples times, shared tips about the specific activities I had in mind and even provided me with anti-leech products when I told him I was going to hike. I can only recommend this place !

De los mejores sitios en los que hemos estado en Sri Lanka. Una habitación enorme y preciosamente decorada con unas vistas espectaculares. Por la noche tienen un buffet libre de currys vegano y absolutamente delicioso. El personal es muy atento y tienen un librito con las actividades que se pueden realizar por la zona con horarios, precios etc. Muy bien explicado. Los alrededores son espectaculares rodeados de campos de té.

Las vistas eran muy bonitas, la cama cómoda y el dueño es encantador, está atento para ayudar en todo, tiene un cuaderno en el que puedes ver las diferentes actividades recomendadas para hacer en Haputale. Tuvimos mala suerte de que hizo viento y justo en ese lateral de la casa pegaba muy fuerte el viento.

It was an extremely nice stay! The people were really nice and even organized a pickup from the trainstation (without us asking for it:). In the morning we wanted to leave at 5:30 to the Horton Plains and they even proposed to give us lunch packages at that time! (We had to decline since we had already bought some snacks but I would have loved to do that!) Dinner was also proposed to prepare at 9 or 10 pm! Which we sadly also had already eaten. But all these offers were really nice and the room itself was also very nice and clean:)
